Delivering around Westwood

Westwood covers 90024, 90095 and part of 90025, and it is dominated by two things: the university and the Wilshire corridor towers.

UCLA deliveries are their own category. The campus is large, buildings are not numbered in an obvious sequence, and residence halls have front desks that accept flowers with a student’s name. For anything on campus we need a building name and, for a dorm, the hall — an address alone is not enough to find someone. Ronald Reagan UCLA Medical Center takes flowers with a patient name and room or department; some units do not accept them at all.

The high-rise condominiums along Wilshire between Westwood Blvd and the 405 all have concierges, and those are among the easiest deliveries we make — the desk signs for the flowers and calls the resident. A unit number is still needed.

Westwood Village itself, around Broxton and Weyburn, is walkable and dense, and deliveries to the shops and restaurants there are straightforward. Wilshire slows badly from mid-afternoon and the 405 pushes traffic onto Sepulveda; mornings are considerably faster.

Can I choose a delivery time?

What if nobody is home?
Campus and hospital deliveries cannot be left at a desk without a name — we need the recipient phone number, the building and the room. Residence halls will not accept flowers otherwise. The courier always calls first, and if the delivery cannot be completed we bring the flowers back to the studio and try again.

Will I know it arrived?
We photograph the finished bouquet and send you the picture before the courier leaves, so you see exactly what was delivered.

Where are the flowers made?
At our Ventura Blvd studio in Studio City, over the hill, by hand, on the day of delivery. Nothing is pre-made and nothing is shipped in a box from another state.
