Questions about peonies
When are peonies in season?
Peak season runs roughly from late spring into early summer, with a shorter import window later in the year. Outside those weeks we cannot get them at any price — this is the flower most worth ordering ahead.
How long do peonies last?
Five to seven days. They arrive as tight buds and open over two to three days, which is part of the appeal — the bouquet changes shape while it sits on the table.
Why do peonies cost more?
They are seasonal, fragile and imported for most of the year. A peony bouquet is priced by what the market charges that week, and it moves considerably.
