How to Choose the Perfect Rose Bouquet for Any Occasion
Choosing the right rose bouquet doesn’t have to feel overwhelming. There are time-honored traditions and simple guidelines that make selecting the perfect arrangement feel natural — and meaningful.
For a birthday, we recommend an arrangement featuring peach, coral, or light pink roses. These warm, joyful tones radiate celebration and are guaranteed to make any birthday celebrant smile. Our Pink Expression and Peony Crush arrangements are perennial favorites for exactly this reason.
For anniversaries and romantic occasions, nothing speaks more powerfully than red or deep crimson roses. A large-format arrangement of our Red Roses or Passion bouquet carries an unmistakable message of devotion. For something softer and more intimate, our Rose Majesty in blush tones strikes the perfect balance between romance and elegance.
For Mother’s Day, we strongly recommend ordering in advance — our arrangements sell out quickly around this holiday. A lush bouquet of white O’Hara roses or pink peonies makes an especially touching gift, evoking the warmth and beauty of spring and the care that deserves to be celebrated.
For friends, colleagues, or professional milestones, consider a spray rose arrangement or a mixed-color bouquet. Pink roses are ideal for close friends, while white or purple roses convey respect and admiration for mentors or business partners. When in doubt, our Shimmer Roses in champagne tones are a universally elegant choice.

Questions about roses
How long do your roses last?
With the water changed every other day and stems re-cut at an angle, our roses hold for seven to ten days. Garden roses open wider and faster — they look their best around day three and fade a little sooner than standard roses.
What is the difference between a garden rose and a regular rose?
A standard rose has a tight spiral head and opens slowly. A garden rose has many more petals, opens into a full cup, and carries more scent. Garden roses cost more per stem and are what people mean when a bouquet looks unusually lush.
How many roses should I send?
Twenty-five reads as a proper gift. Fifty is unmistakably a statement. A hundred is what people photograph. For an apology or a first date, smaller and better is the safer choice than large and ordinary.
Can I get red roses delivered today in Los Angeles?
Yes. Order by 1:00 PM and red roses go out the same day, seven days a week. Around Valentine’s Day order several days ahead — same-day slots close early that week.
