Questions about get well flowers
Can you deliver flowers to a hospital in Los Angeles?
Yes. We need the patient name and the room or department. Some units, particularly intensive care and oncology, do not accept flowers at all — if you are unsure, call the ward before ordering.
What flowers are appropriate for someone who is unwell?
Choose unscented and low-pollen: alstroemeria, carnations and lisianthus are all good. Avoid lilies and heavily scented stock — in a shared ward the scent affects other patients, and lily pollen stains.
Should I send a bouquet or a basket?
A basket or box arrangement, almost always. It arrives already in water and needs no vase, which matters when ward staff are the ones handling it.
How long will the flowers last in a hospital room?
Carnations hold ten to fourteen days and alstroemeria commonly two weeks — both outlast a typical stay. Roses hold seven to ten days in a warm room.
