About this bouquet

Three garden roses, ten peonies, four hydrangeas and three stems of stock. Four different flowers, each doing something different: the peonies bring the fullness, the hydrangea the volume, the garden roses the structure and the stock the scent. It is the most complex bouquet we build and the most seasonal — the peonies decide when it is available.

Who this one suits

An anniversary is the one occasion where size is read as intent, so this sits in the range that lands as considered rather than casual.

For a birthday it reads as celebratory rather than romantic, which makes it safe for a friend, a parent or a colleague as much as a partner.

10 stems suits a standard cylinder vase. Trim a little off the stems every couple of days as you change the water and it will hold its shape longer.

Caring for garden roses

Garden roses carry many more petals than a standard rose and open into a full cup over two to three days. That is when they look their best. Re-cut the stems at an angle before they go in water, strip any leaves that would sit below the waterline, and change the water every other day. Expect five to seven good days — a little shorter than standard roses, in exchange for a fuller flower.

Caring for peonies

Peonies arrive as tight buds and open over two to three days — that is the point of them, the bouquet changes shape while it sits on the table. If they are slow to open, a warmer room speeds it up; a cooler one slows it down and buys you a few more days. Five to seven days in total.

Delivery

Built and delivered the same day on orders placed before 1:00 PM, seven days a week. No charge in North Hollywood, Toluca Lake and Studio City; a flat $14 in Burbank, Glendale and Van Nuys. Every area with prices.

Every order includes a handwritten card in a sealed envelope, and we photograph the finished bouquet and send you the picture before the courier leaves. Built by hand at our Studio City studio on the day it is delivered.
