24 stems suits a standard cylinder vase. Trim a little off the stems every couple of days as you change the water and it will hold its shape longer.

Caring for roses

Re-cut the stems at an angle before putting them in water and strip any leaves that would sit below the waterline — submerged leaves are what turns water cloudy and shortens the life of a bouquet. Change the water every other day and keep the vase out of direct sun and away from a heating vent. Ours hold seven to ten days that way.
